I contacted the seller prior to my purchase and got all the details. He mentioned that the phone is in mint condition and the 'refurbishing' is actually unlocking it and did not involve any hardware repair/replacement. The seller was extremely helpful and answered all my emails/calls. Taking a risk, I ordered it. Shipping was fast and I got it within a few days.Its been more than 2 weeks that I have been using the phone. The phone is light weight and the screen is plain awesome, almost HD quality. It runs on FROYO and Samsung is offering to upgrade to GingerBread through their website. I am still reluctant to upgrade it, fearing that it may lock the phone again to T-Mobile. Coming to the features of the phone, it does all that you can think of doing, calls, text, email, mms, video-call, music/video player... and the market place has so many apps to support. The Exhibit II only gets 4G and since there's not much 4G coverage from T-Mobile and it won't work on 3G at all there was no service anywhere except on Edge. This phone is supposed to get 4G but fall back to 3G when 4G service is not available and seems to be working OK so far. The GPS works well in spite of what other reviewers are saying. I found that if I turned on "wi-fi calling" that nothing else worked including the GPS. Turned that off and everything was fine. The 5Mp camera produces good photos that look better than the ones from my digital camera.Videos play well whether in MP4 or 3GP format and music sounds very good using headphones. I only have 2 gripes with it so far, the battery life is way too short and both phones, the Galaxy S and the Exhibit II have to be charged up every day or they will go dead the next day even if they weren't used.
